Tenuta J. Hofstatter, Trentino - Alto Adige
A blend of Muller Thurgau (structure), Sauvignon (acidity) and Chardonnay (body). Marzipan, lemon meringue pie, greengages, some mineral quality and lactic notes. Very accomplished.

As well as being home to one of Italy's finest Gerwurztraminer (tre-bicchiere award-winning Cru Kolbenhof) and to date its most exciting and complex offering of Lagrein (Steinraffler Riserva), Martin Foradori's stunningly-situated South Tyrol Estate is best known for making one of Europe's most prestigious Pinot Noirs south of Volnay - Vigna S. Urbano, from its famous Barthenau vineyard.
