Crisp, pleasantly metallic notes and good acidity, racy almost, with fresh fruit salad flavours, cinnamon on ripe melon, and minerals on the finish.

As well as being home to one of Italy's finest Gerwurztraminer (tre-bicchiere award-winning Cru Kolbenhof) and to date its most exciting and complex offering of Lagrein (Steinraffler Riserva), Martin Foradori's stunningly-situated South Tyrol Estate is best known for making one of Europe's most prestigious Pinot Noirs south of Volnay - Vigna S. Urbano, from its famous Barthenau vineyard.
